Safari mission

Safari Mission started in 2006 as a mission organization to train men and women in Kenya and the East African region in God’s Word. After several short-term trips to Kenya in 1999, Vidar Ligard, founder of the organization, became aware of the enormous need for trained ministers in the country, especially in the rural and remote areas.

In April of 2006, Sarfari opened the first campus in Mwingi and Safari Bible School began. In 2011, Safari Bible School changed its name to Rhema Bible Training College Kenya.

What began in 2006 with Vidar as the school’s only instructor, has now grown to include 11 national teachers and 30 international instructors. Vidar and Cathrine are currently building a Headquarters on the North Coast of Mombasa. The building is 11,000 square feet and will contain offices, dormitories, classrooms, studio apartments, and a library for Rhema Kenya students and staff.
